A 1982 batch IAS from Bihar, currently holds the position of Chairman, IWAI, before which, he was deputed as Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department, Patna. He started his career as SDO, Land Revenue Management and District Administration. He has a professional experience of 30 plus years.

M.T. Krishna Babu, a 1993 batch IAS Officer belonging to the Andhra Pradesh cadre, is the Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Trust taken over in May 2014. He has earlier held the positions of Secretary, infrastructure and Investment Department; Commissioner, GHMC; Chairman, AP Central Power Distribution Co Ltd and Managing Director, Metropolitan Water & Severage Board.

Mr. Girish Pillai, Officer of 1981 batch on Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) has joined as Executive Director (Infrastructure), Railway Board on 17.10.2012. In his career of over 30 years with Indian Railways, he has worked extensively at Divisional, Zonal Railway and Railway Board level.
Before joining as Executive Director (Infrastructure), he has worked as Chief Operating Manager/Western Railway, Divisional Railway Manager/Mumbai and Executive Director (Perspective Planning), Railway Board.He is a Post Graduate in Mathematics from the University of Delhi. Mr. Girish Pillai is the nodal officer for the Dedicated Freight Corridor Project in Railway Ministry and is also part time Director of the Board of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL).
His current assignment also includes long term planning for Infrastructure creation over Indian Railways, Coordination for implementation of PPP projects, International Railway cooperation and developing Long Range Decision Support System (LRDSS) for Railways.

Shri Manish Jain, an IAS Officer of 1994 batch of West Bengal Cadre, took over charge as Deputy Chairman, Kolkata Port Trust, Haldia Dock Complex since January 2011. During his service in Kolkata Port, he was also holding additional charge of Chairman of Kolkata Port Trust for a considerable period.
Shri Manish Jain was Executive Director, West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) before joining Kolkata Port Trust.
As a member of Indian Administrative Service, Shri Jain has served as Under Secretary, Government of West Bengal and State Protocol Officer, ADM, Darjeeling, Burdwan, South 24-Parganas and District Magistrate in North Dinajpur and Burdwan Districts.
Currently, Shri Jain is also holding an additional charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Central Inland Water Transport Corporation (CIWTC) and Hooghly Dock & Port Engineers Ltd. (HDPEL), besides Dy.Chairman, Kolkata.
During the current posting, Shri Jain got an opportunity to visit various Ports of Belgium like Port of Antwerp and Port of Zeebrugge as a part of Programme on Port Authority Planning & Management organized by APEC – Antwerp / Flenders Port. He had also been the member of delegation visited Bangladesh for DG(Shipping) Level Talks between India and Bangladesh on Coastal Shipping.

Capt. Gave. K. Sarkari is the Managing Director of Samsara Group, India. He has over 4 decades of experience in the Shipping Industry. His Shipping career started from the early 70’s, He served at sea in ascending rank from Apprentice to Master with India Steamship Company Pvt. Ltd. from 1972 to 1983.
After his initial stint from 1983 to 1990 with Killick Nixon Agency Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai and has been with Sharaf Group in Dubai & India. Since 1990, serving in various capacities before being elevated to the position of Managing Director, Samsara Group.
Capt. Sarkari is also serving on several committees and is Vice President of Mumbai And Nhava Sheva Ship-Agents Association (MANSA). He is nominated on Narottam Morarjee Institute Of Shipping (NMIS) governing council by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

Bill Smart, Managing director of Bengal Tiger Line, has been in Container Common Feedering for over two decades. Earlier, he was engaged in the Far East/Europe trades with the Ben Line Containers.
Although a Scot, and having served as a Paratrooper in the British Territorial Army, he has lived most of his life overseas including West Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia. Mr Smart now resides in Singapore.

Capt. Dhiren Kumar Mohanty, borne in 1955, is a Master Mariner. He has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Dredging Corporation of India Limited on 30th November, 2011.
Capt. Mohanty has wide range of experience in shipping and port related sectors spanning over more than 30 years. Previously he worked as Dy.Conservator in Paradip Port Trust and his last assignment was Director (Marine Services) in Ennore Port Ltd.,

Rajkiran Kanagala has been associated with TCI since 2006 and has been working in the supply chain division since then. Prior to being appointed as National Head –Business Development, TCI Supply Chain Solutions, Rajkiran handled business development and operations of the division for 3 years as the Assistant Vice President –Western Region.
From April 2012, Rajkiran has taken over entire Group TCI Business Development. as the Group Head.Rajkiran has over seventeen years of work experience in the area of business development for OEM Manufactured products and Engineering goods. Before joining TCI, Rajkiran has held various positions in Onida, Atlas Copcoand Peerless Fabrikkerne(India) Ltd. As part of business development assignments, he has worked extensively with customers in both domestic and international markets and has spent nearly 10 years in International Business Development.

Kalyana Rama is the Executive Director, South Central Region of CONCOR. A 1987 batch IRTS officer, Kalyana Rama holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He is also a trained cost accountant from ICWA.
Earlier in his career in CONCOR, he had served as chief general manager of southern region and senior general manager at Visakhapatnam. He had also served the Indian Railways in various positions including Sr.Divisional Operations Manager, Bilaspur and Sr.Divisional Operations Manager in Visakhapatnam.

Shri P Raychaudhury joined Steel Authority of India Ltd in the year 1982. During his service tenure of 30 years in SAIL he has held various positions in the all India marketing set up of SAIL, International Trade Division as well as Shipping Department. Shri Raychaudhury is although a marketing professional in Steel business but has developed a strong interest in the field of logistics.
He is presently heading the Transport & Shipping Deptt of SAIL overseeing logistics of import of bulk cargo, containerized cargo and export of steel through various Ports in India.

Capt Sudhir Vasudev Subhedar is the President of ICC Shipping Association, a nodal body of Indian coastal ship owners’ operators. He is also a director with the Indian National Shipowners’ Association. He has also served as a director of Ocean Sparkle Ltd, the largest port and allied services company in India. In a sailing career started in 1966, Capt Subhedar has sailed with SCI and Anglo Eastern Company. Earlier he was a Technical officer of IMO and Dept of Transport UK. He is a member of various organizations including Royal Institute of Naval Architects, International Ship Masters federation and the Company of Master Mariners of India.

Captain Sanjeev Rishi is the Advisor & Member of Strategic Planning Committee of World Window Group, New Delhi. He is also the Managing Director of Sanjvik Terminals (Pvt) Ltd, which is the Promoter of ICD-Bawal. He has got about 16 years of off shore experience with the Shipping Corporation of India and nearly 26 years of shore and Commercial experience.
An expert on hinterland terminals and multi-modal transportation, he has handled marketing and operations in North India of Black Sea Shipping Company, JUGOLINJA, Mitsui O.S.K Lines, United Arab Shipping Company and National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia. Rishi has written two Books on multi - modal transportation for IGNOU, which are now a part of international marketing course. He is a visiting Faculty at IIFT, Railway Staff College, Baroda and Tolani Maritime Institute, Mumbai.

Mr Vir K KOtak, Joint Managing Director of the J.M.Baxi Group of Companies, takes care of the Logistics Infrastructure businesses and the International Inter-Modal Transport division, besides being the Director in charge of Finance, Administration and I.T.

Manral D.K has over 30 years of experience in maritime sector and port sector including having sailed as Master, being marine consultant and Heading port business. Presently he is Chief Executive Officer of Vedanta’s Port Business and heading VGCB terminal at Visakhapatnam.
Completed full time MBA in Strategy and Finance from Trinity School of Business, University of Dublin and has done research project at Dublin port on “Port reforms, building sustainable competitive advantages and port growth”. He also holds Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply chain management and is also a certified Business Excellence Assessor. He obtained Master Mariners from UK.

An ex-bureaucrat, Santosh Kumar Mohapatra joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1976 and has worked in different positions in the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India for 29 years.
In 2005, he left the government service to join Dhamra Port Company, a joint venture between Tata Steel and L&T, as CEO. A past Chairman of CII, Orissa, Mohapatra is also a Director of Tata NYK, a joint venture of Tatas & the Japanese Shipping Company NYK.

Capt. S. B. Mazumder is Executive Director of Seahorse Ship Agencies, A Master Mariner (Foreign Going) having extensive experience both at sea and land, he started his career out at sea sailing for more than a decade with Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) after pre-sea training at T. S. Dufferin.
He subsequently took up a key position with SCI on shore in Kolkata, before joining a Hong Kong-based short sea shipping company as Master, where he spent more than two decades. Capt. Mazumder has also held important positions like Vice-President of ASIC, the association representing all shipping agents and shipowners in Kolkata, Board member representing Calcutta Dock Labour Board, Member of the Shipping Committee and Main Committee of Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Capt K N Ramesh is the Chief Executive Officer of Sical Logistics Limited and the Managing Director of Sical Iron Ore Terminals Limited. He is a Master Mariner with 30 years of diversified experience in shipping business and related operations.
Earlier positions held include Chief Operating Officer at Karaikal Port Pvt Ltd, and Director of MARG CSCL International, Sri Lanka.

Pankaj Gadhia is the Chief Executive Officer of Lee & Muirhead (P) Ltd, having joined the group in 1980. He is a member of Experts Committee of Logistics of Madras Chamber of Commerce and Hindustan Chamber of Commerce.
He is also member of the governing board of International School of Management Excellence (ISME), Bangalore. He has authored two publications: “Quality of Services rendered by Lemuir Air Express to Customers” and “Education Needs for Export Managers in the 1990s.”

Shirish Nadkarni is a Mumbai-based maritime specialist and management consultant, who has been reporting on shipping, ports and maritime matters on the Indian sub-continent for over 20 years. For the past five years he has been South Asia correspondent for Seatrade and its range of publications and events, including the annual Indian Shipping Summit.

M N Bhaskaran is the Executive Vice President – Downstream Business at Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, where he heads the sales and marketing, supply chain, customized fertilizers, R&D as well as plant nutrition and solutions divisions.
He has over 28 years of professional experience, engaged at senior levels both in India and abroad. He is highly regarded and recognized in the agri inputs industry as a turnaround specialist and a unique strategist.

V Padmanabham is the Managing Director of SSF Limited. The company started operations in 1971 and is a pioneer in seafood exports from Andhra Pradesh. Mr Padmanabham is also the National Vice President of Seafood Exporters Association of India.
He had earlier held key positions including Vice President of Association of Indian Fishery Industries representing deep sea fishing vessels. He has extensive experience in food processing and sea food exports.
